Superb Vintage MTM Chinoiserie Octagonal Tea Tins / Canisters - Matching Pair (Made in England)
Up for sale is an incredibly well-preserved, matching pair of vintage 1970s Chinoiserie octagonal lithographed tin canisters. These were manufactured by the renowned British company MTM (The Metal Tray Manufacturing Co., Ltd.), famous for their high-quality "Elite Trays" and collectible toleware.
Featuring a striking black lacquer-ware style background, these tins are beautifully decorated with vibrant red, gold, and white lithographed graphics depicting traditional Asian figures in a garden with blossoming trees. The bottoms are stamped with the original historical mark: "CONTAINER MADE IN ENGLAND".

These are 100% authentic vintage originals from the 1970s, not modern replicas. They are in spectacular, near-mint vintage condition—likely kept as cabinet display pieces by a collector.
