The bank showcases a stylized, whimsical hand-painted visage with distinct almond-shaped eyes, strong linework, and a unique integrated handle on top—a classic design heavily admired and collected by mid-century design icon Alexander Girard. Following true traditional style, this piggy bank features a top coin slot but no bottom opening, meaning it was originally designed to be broken to retrieve the savings. It makes a fantastic rustic statement piece for any mid-century modern, boho, or Mexican folk art collection!
