This is a beautiful set of two vintage Japanese lacquerware shallow bowls/plates, showcasing two contrasting yet complementary styles of Japanese craftsmanship.
- Black Plate: Features a traditional, elegant design of yellow chrysanthemums with delicate gold-line accent work over a glossy black lacquer background.
- Orange/Red Plate: Features a unique Mid-Century Modern (MCM) / Atomic style contemporary design. It depicts abstract fish stylized with minimalist lines, set against geometric metallic gold and silver colored fans on a vibrant coral orange background.
