Vintage Shipibo Peru Hand Drum Rattle Lot 2 Shamanic Folk Art Percussion Toy Wood
This listing features a rare vintage lot of two (2) handcrafted Peruvian Spin Drums (also known as Rattle Drums or Monkey Drums), showcasing the beautiful indigenous folk art of the Shipibo-Conibo people from the Amazon rainforest.
- Drum 1 (Geometric): Features the iconic, intricate Shipibo geometric line art known as "Quené" or "Kené" on both drum heads, which represents cosmic pathways and spiritual songs (Icaros).
- Drum 2 (Seated Figure): Displays a captivating, hand-drawn indigenous figure with an elaborate ceremonial headdress resembling a stylized deity, merman, or shaman in a seated posture. The handle is beautifully accented with pyrography (wood-burned) tribal patterns.
By rolling the handle between your palms, the attached wooden beads swing and strike the raw hide drum heads, producing a crisp, nostalgic percussion sound. Perfect as shamanic ceremonial collectibles, boho-chic home decor, sound healing tools, or unique ethnic musical toys.
