Vintage National Brand Tackle Japan Bone Tuna Jig 6" — Wooden Fishing Lure
A scarce mid-century tuna jig marked "National Brand Tackle - Japan - 5½" on the underside.
Although commonly referred to as a bone jig, this example appears to be carved wood with a natural bone-like finish.
This vintage bone tuna jig was likely produced in the late 1960s to early 1970s during the peak period when National Brand Tackle imported Japan-made saltwater jigs.
Equipped with the original long rusted hook, brass ring, and approx. 43" wire leader with swivel.
Shows age, patina, cracks, oxidation, and discoloration consistent with decades of storage and use.
Approx. Measurements
• Jig body: 6"L × 1"W × 0.5"H, 1.9 oz
• Leader wire: approx. 43"
A great piece for fishing lure collectors, display, or restoration.
