The rim is enveloped by the vivid blue, gold, and green gradients of the "Penna di Pavone" (Peacock Feather) pattern—a 15th-century Gothic-Renaissance design symbolizing wealth, prosperity, and immortal beauty.

The underside is fully signed "Dip. A Mano Deruta" (Hand Painted in Deruta) in blue underglaze script and proudly features the factory's original golden hologram brand sticker bearing the Latin quote "De Facili (Luto) / Deruta Placens".
