Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Chinese carved wooden display stand, dating back to around the 1970s–1980s. This circular pedestal features an elegant, hand-carved openwork apron with traditional Lotus / Ruyi wave motifs supported by five low integrated feet.
This specific piece boasts a remarkably rich, deep dark brown finish. The recessed top rim is perfectly sized to hold and elevate porcelain vases, ginger jars, fish bowls, or table lamps with a 6.25-inch base. A wonderful example of mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese export craftsmanship.
