Vintage Chinese Porcelain Brush Washer / Narcissus Planter / Wine Coaster

A beautiful vintage blue and white porcelain bowl from China, dating to the latter half of the 20th century (c. 1970s-1990s). The exterior is hand-painted with a continuous and classic Shanshui (mountain-water) landscape scene.

This sturdy, straight-sided form is incredibly versatile. While traditionally used as a Brush Washer ( bixi ) for calligraphy or a Narcissus Planter for bulbs, its size and stability make it a perfectly suited and elegant wine bottle coaster , catching drips and condensation while adding a touch of sophistication to your table.
