Vintage Chinese Peking Opera Painted Clay Figurine Red Face Warrior Guan Yu
This is a striking vintage Chinese hand-painted clay figurine depicting a classic Peking Opera warrior character. Given the distinctive red face makeup (Lianpu), long black beard, and green robe, it is highly likely a representation of Guan Yu, the legendary general from the Three Kingdoms period. The figurine is beautifully detailed with vibrant colors and features intricate dragon motifs on the front and back of his robe. Despite its small size, it has a solid weight to it. A wonderful piece of Asian folk art that makes a great decorative collectible.
