This is a beautiful vintage two-piece terracotta clay candle holder or luminary lantern. It features an intricate, hand-carved pierced geometric pattern across its ovoid (egg-shaped) dome. The base functions as a saucer with a built-in fitting designed to securely hold a standard 3/4-inch taper candle. When lit, the openwork design casts stunning, warm light and intricate shadow patterns.
