RARE Vintage Slag Glass Lotus Swag Lamp Double Flare Tulip Pendant Light
Item Description
This is an exceptionally RARE and highly collectible Vintage Mid-Century Modern (1960s-1970s) Art Nouveau Revival Slag Glass Swag Lamp.
While standard vintage tulip/lotus lamps feature a closed, flat-topped crown, this prize piece boasts a spectacular "Double-Flare" (Double-Open) silhouette. Both the upper crown petals and the lower main shade petals are individually crafted with pointed, outwardly flared tips. This sophisticated double-layered geometry beautifully mimics a lotus flower in full bloom. Because of the high manufacturing difficulty and survival rate of these exposed pointed tips, this specific design is virtually impossible to find on the market today, making it a true investment piece for vintage lighting collectors.
When lit, the gorgeous variegated panels of rich caramel, honey-amber, and creamy white marbled slag glass emit a warm, mesmerizing glow, instantly transforming any space into a cozy mid-century haven.

Condition Report
- Slag Glass: EXCELLENT Vintage Condition. Despite the rare exposed-tip design, there are Absolutely NO cracks, NO chips, and NO deep scratches on any of the glass panels. The glass is beautifully preserved.
- Structure & Internal Reinforcement: There is an older, professional reinforcement (epoxy/putty stabilization) on the interior upper rim where the heavy hanging bracket joins the shade frame (please see the detailed close-up photos). This is completely invisible from the exterior when the lamp is hanging and does not detract from its outward beauty. It was done to ensure the structural integrity of the heavy art glass.
- Wiring: Vintage wire condition with exposed ends at the canopy. Sold AS-IS—ready to be hardwired or converted to a plug-in cord by the buyer depending on your installation needs.
- Please review all high-resolution photos carefully as they form the definitive part of the cosmetic description.
