Due to age, these nails have become slightly loose, creating some minor "wobble" or play in the boards. This is a common characteristic of aged earthenware/wooden utilities, likely because the original vintage nails were intentionally preserved during its high-quality restoration to keep its historical integrity.

• Maintenance Note: The piece is absolutely NOT broken. This slight wobble can be easily tightened or resolved by replacing the nails with a slightly thicker gauge or by adding a touch of wood filler/putty to the holes.
