Rare Austrian Cold Painted Bronze Terrier Group on Green Onyx Tray c.1930

Sale price$220.00

Exceptionally rare Austrian cold-painted bronze group featuring eight terriers mounted on a green onyx tray,
circa 1930s, likely from the Vienna Bronze tradition.

Most examples of this type include only one to three dogs,
making this eight-figure composition a particularly uncommon and collectible piece —
possibly a special order or studio display work.

Each terrier is finely modeled in spelter or bronze with traces of the original cold-painted finish.
The green onyx base shows natural veins, inclusions, and age patina consistent with its period.

Overall: approx. 7.5"L × 5.5"D × 2.75"H
Weight: approx. 2.9 lb
Material: Green onyx base with cold-painted spelter/bronze dogs
Origin: Austria, ca. 1930s
Style: Art Deco

Condition:
One corner chip to the onyx base (see photos)
Paint wear and oxidation on figures
Stable natural cracks within the stone
Overall light surface scratches throughout consistent with age

A highly collectible Art Deco Austrian piece, ideal for display on a desk, bookshelf, or as a gift for dog lovers and Vienna Bronze collectors.
