Rare 1920s Globe-Wernicke Wooden Desk Organizer / Letter Tray

Note: There are modification marks on the underside - 8 small holes total (4 corner holes at 1/8" diameter that go completely through, and 4 smaller non-penetrating holes positioned 2" inward from corners). These appear to be from a previous two-tier stacking configuration. The sale includes one tray only. There is no visible maker's mark on this piece.
