A vintage Kutani porcelain tray from Japan, featuring a beautifully raised chrysanthemum floral design on glossy white glaze. The piece includes a silver-painted rim and three side grooves, originally intended as an ashtray but now ideal as a trinket tray, jewelry dish, or decorative catchall .
The underside bears the "谷九" (tani-ku / Kutani) mark, a simplified export stamp used on mid-century Kutani ware (1950s-1970s).
