A charming handmade lidded butter dish crafted and signed by noted North Carolina potter John Garrou .
The dome is decorated with a detailed winter farm scene , complete with barns, trees, snow, and barbed-wire fencing — all hand-painted in Garrou's recognizable folk-art style.

The underside carries three impressed marks :

  • HAND MADE

  • OLDFORT NC

  • John Garrou — 5-29 86 (indicating May 29, 1986)

The lid features a twisted handle, and the dish has a ruffled rim, both classic elements in Garrou's studio pottery.

Condition
