Farmers Sawhorse Display Market Table Antique Primitive Wood Tray Vegetables
Product Overview
This is a remarkably rare, late 19th to early 20th-century antique primitive farmers market display table, sourced from a private vintage collection in Southern California.
The set features a highly versatile 4-piece take-down construction: two folding X-frame sawhorse legs, a large main tray top, and a smaller nesting tray. Both trays are designed with a classic 3-sided gallery rim, traditional for vintage bakers' tables or historical farmers' market fruit and vegetable displays.
A unique feature of this set is the heavy-duty metal hook attached to the back of the smaller tray, allowing it to be hung on a wall as a standalone rustic display shelf. The deep, rich patina of the old pine wood, combined with remnants of historic green paint on the sides, gives this piece an unparalleled primitive character. Perfect as a store fixture, plant stand, garden display, or farmhouse interior accent.

Condition Report
Genuine antique primitive condition with exceptional character. Shows authentic wear from a century of use, including scratches, scuffs, localized wood gouges, stains, historic cup rings, and beautiful weathering.
There are wonderful remnants of aged green paint on the tray sides. The structure remains sturdy and the folding legs operate smoothly. Notably, one bolt junction on the trestle base was repaired long ago with a period-correct antique square nut, adding immense historical charm and proving its life as a working utilitarian piece. There are no major structural cracks or wobbles. Ready to use and display.
