This is a stunningly preserved antique Spanish Manises Majolica (tin-glazed earthenware) decorative wall plate, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890-1920). Hand-crafted and painted in the historic pottery center of Manises, Valencia, Spain, it showcases the exquisite rustic charm of authentic Mediterranean folk art.
The center of the plate features a whimsical, vibrant yellow singing bird perched on green branches, a hallmark motif of traditional Valencian pottery. This central roundel is beautifully framed by a bold, symmetrical radiating border composed of multi-tiered acanthus scrolls and fan patterns rendered in rich cobalt blue, ochre yellow, deep orange, and soft green accents.
The reverse side highlights its authentic period craftsmanship, featuring two historically integrated pre-drilled hanging holes with a twine cord, making it perfectly ready to be mounted as a focal wall art piece or displayed beautifully on a tabletop easel charger stand.
