  • Authentic Late Qing Dynasty Ware: This is a genuine antique Chinese blue and white porcelain ginger jar featuring the iconic "Double Happiness" (囍 - Shuangxi) character hand-painted on both the front, back, and the matching lid. It dates back to the late 19th to early 20th century (Late Qing Dynasty).
  • Intricate Foliate Motif: The bold cobalt blue characters are surrounded by meticulously hand-drawn sweet pea vine and scrolling foliage patterns, symbolizing continuous prosperity and marital harmony. The underglaze blue exhibits beautiful organic variations typical of the period.
  • Rare Matching Original Lid: Unlike many surviving provincial jars that have lost their covers, this piece retains its original ceramic flat lid. The unglazed rim and under-lid flange show a natural age patina, and historical domestic paper backing remains intact on the interior of the lid, confirming its utilitarian heritage rather than modern tourist production.
  • Complete with Wooden Stand: Includes a beautiful dark-finished carved wooden display base that perfectly elevates the jar for Chinoiserie-style home decor, mantel displays, or antique collections.
