1964 Olivetti Underwood Lettera 32 Typewriter w/ Case
A beautiful, fully functional piece of Italian design history. This is a vintage Olivetti Underwood Lettera 32 portable typewriter, confirmed by its serial number to have been manufactured in 1964 , just one year after the model's celebrated debut.
Design and Legacy Designed by the master of Italian industrial design, Marcello Nizzoli, the Lettera 32 is an icon of mid-century modernism, holding a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Renowned for its reliability and delightful typing action, it was the trusted companion of authors like Cormac McCarthy.
Condition and Accessories This typewriter is in excellent, fully working mechanical condition. It comes complete with its original soft vinyl case, instruction manual, and other period paperwork. The case has a broken zipper on one corner which can likely be repaired.
