A Hanukkah menorah is a lamp with nine branches or candle holders that is used during the Festival of Lights. The word "menorah" is Hebrew for "lampstand". The Hanukkah menorah has eight lights in a row, plus a ninth light called the shamash.
This piece is a vintage Hanukkah lamp (menorah) of distinctive Moroccan or North African Jewish design. It features an ornate architectural form with Islamic-inspired arches, intricate cutout designs, and decorative finials. The candle holder section at the bottom shows signs of age and use, with visible wax residue and some damage to the mounting causing it to tilt slightly downward as noted.
